My Sewing Room

Making my sewing area organized and child friendly has been a fun challenge! We'll start with a corner and move on from there!

Here is my the corner :-)  The basket is full of my "In Progress' projects! Remember the basket! I have a white board to go with it!

The binders in the crate are full of my bag patterns!! Clothing patterns are in a different area.

Here's the area I spend at least half of my sewing time!  The cutting table!
My zippers are hung on a curtain rod with D rings.
I made the ruler holder for all my quilting rulers. It's so nice!!
Obviously my thread is on a wooden thread holder. Daniel didn't make it. It was cheaper to use a Joanne's coupons and buy it!

Here's my white boards to keep track of what patterns I have cut out or what needs to be finished. The list of the "in progress" projects are here too.  They are numbered to a coresponding bag.

My inventory is on a dresser for now.  Hoping to find a better system or place for them to be stored.

I thought I took a picture of just my sewing area, but I guess not. To the left of this picture is my "sewing area." Here's a view of the main area. Behind the picture is the "playroom."

My ironing area is in the next room.  You can see the binders under the little table. Those are my clothing patterns.

I completely cut out over 10 patterns in the last 2 days. The last 2 pictures shows a few of them.

This is my favorite bookshelf.  So many pretty fabrics!! Each fabric is wrapped around a comic board to keep it together.  The rolls on the right of the bookcase are vinyl and pleather!  On top of the book shelf is most of the hardware I use for my purses.  It is all organized in containers from homedepot.

If you are interested in how I organized different things, just ask! If you have ideas for me, please share!!!
